Welcome to Magpie Gems, where we create beautiful and unique sterling silver jewellery that is designed and crafted in Ireland. Our founder, a female in her 40's, born in Romania, has always had a passion for creating beautiful and meaningful pieces. Growing up in Romania, she was exposed to the world of crafts and jewellery making, and her passion for this art form only grew as she traveled the world in her 20's, discovering new cultures and styles.

After settling in Ireland, she decided to turn her passion into a business and Magpie Gems was born. Our jewellery is created using only the finest quality nickel-free sterling silver and is designed to be both timeless and versatile. Each piece is handcrafted with care and attention to detail, making them truly one-of-a-kind.

We believe that jewellery should be more than just an accessory, it should tell a story and hold sentimental value. That's why we take great pride in creating pieces that are not only beautiful but also meaningful.

Based in North Cork, “Magpie Gems” is the creative passion of Lavinia Untea.  She is inspired by a love for nature, travelling and science and is designing for confident, fun, loving, active, busy women. Working in sterling solid silver and Austrian crystal you can choose from earrings, necklaces, bracelets, ring, anklets  and cuff-links; even the simplest pieces make you stand out from the crowd.
